Changeable shared bus lane scheme for intersections based on lane signals

چکیده

Abstract To address situations in which the bus lanes at intersections are idle for long periods, this paper proposes a changeable shared lane scheme based on signals. This set up two GPS monitoring points buses of intersection to monitor approaching intersection. The signals linked provide car drivers with signal whether they can enter lane. establishes an optimization model maximize number vehicles entering and uses numerical example simulations discuss detail optimal point locations different situations. Without affecting bus, we obtain setting schemes several common compare total delay ordinary lane-based baseline case (without signal). results show that effectively reduce vehicle delays intersections. Finally, limitations directions future research.

A Lane Departure Warning System Based on Virtual Lane Boundary

A lane departure warning system (LDWS) should give as much warning time as possible, while triggering few, if any, false alarms. In this paper, a virtual lane boundary based LDWS (VLWM) is proposed to approach this goal. VLWM allows the driver to drift beyond the physical lane boundary by adding a virtual lane boundary. Accounting for the driving habit of the driver, lane geometry, and the loca...

A Novel Bus Lane Scheme for QoS Routing in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks

Ad hoc networks are multihop wireless networks without fixed infrastructure, whose topology changes frequently and unpredictably. How to issue routes in such networks with sufficient and constant bandwidth is a key problem for some real-time services like audio and video services. This paper proposes a novel QoS solution using code division multiple access (CDMA) scheme, named CDMA Bus Lane, wh...

Cost / Benefit Analysis of Converting a Lane for Bus

SECTION 1 INTRODUCTION Overview Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) has emerged as a viable option to enhance transportation capacity and provide increased levels of mobility and accessibility. BRT systems vary from one application to another but all provide a higher level of service than traditional bus transportation. Service on BRT systems is generally faster than regular bus service because the buses m...
